We’re proud to announce that our quality management system has achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 certification.
ISO 9001:2008 is the global benchmark for quality management and is designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and employees.
To achieve ISO certification, RD Biomed – the Hull-based medical technology company behind Peptest – has been audited by third party organisation QMS International.
Professor Peter Dettmar, director at RD Biomed, says: “At RD Biomed, we are committed to a strong culture of quality to ensure we continue to innovate and meet the growing expectations of our customers.”
“With ISO certification, we can demonstrate that we consistently provide a product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.”
Peptest is manufactured under contract by Abingdon Health in York under ISO9001 and ISO 13485.
Peptest detects pepsin — the stomach enzyme that indicates reflux — in a saliva sample. Developed by the late Professor Peter Dettmar and used in over 40 countries, it is available directly to patients as well as NHS and private clinics.
